What it actually does
The pack contains three Nordlux E27 LED bulbs rated 7W and 900 lumens. According to the manufacturer they can be dimmed through the free Nordlux Smart Light app on a smartphone or tablet, and the colour temperature is steplessly adjustable between 2,200 K and 6,500 K, from warm to daylight white. The connection uses Bluetooth mesh. The app offers room groups, timers and light scenes and controls up to 50 elements. Voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant only works with the bridge, which is sold separately. The design is conventional and unobtrusive, meant to fit various fixtures.
Reasons for
- Three bulbs per pack
- Colour temperature 2,200 to 6,500 K
- Free app over Bluetooth mesh
Reasons against
- Voice control needs separate bridge
- Discount of only 8 %
Who should skip it
If you are happy switching lights at the wall and have no interest in an app, this pack is pointless. Anyone already running another smart-home system should check whether the Nordlux app fits in; without the separate bridge there is no voice control.
