What it actually does
The Landon Smart is a dimmable Nordlux LED ceiling spot in black, 14 cm high. It has two light sources that can be switched separately or together: a main light in the centre and a narrow ring on the underside. According to the manufacturer, brightness and colour temperature from 2,700 K to 6,500 K are set through the free Nordlux Smart Light app over Bluetooth mesh, along with light scenes, room groups and timers for up to 50 elements. The conventional wall switch keeps working. Nordlux suggests hallways, stairwells, kitchens and bathrooms as locations.
Reasons for
- Two separately switchable light sources
- Colour temperature 2,700 to 6,500 K
- Wall switch keeps working
Reasons against
- Voice control needs separate bridge
- No lumen figure in the listing
Who should skip it
If you need a stated lumen figure before buying, note the listing gives none. Anyone who wants plain, non-app lighting, or voice control without buying a separate bridge, is better off with a conventional spot.
