What it actually does
The Lindby Yrene is a 20 cm outdoor wall light with a beige aluminium surface, intended for terraces and balconies. Its main feature is the built-in motion detector: according to the manufacturer, the light switches on automatically when someone enters the detection zone. The sensor covers up to 8 m at an angle of 90°, the on-time is adjustable from 10 seconds to 10 minutes, and the daylight sensor from 2 to 2000 lux. The manufacturer recommends mounting it at 1.8 to 2.5 metres. The shop lists the colour as beige and transparent; at Lampenwelt CH it costs CHF 77.90 instead of 124.90.
Reasons for
- Motion detector with 8 m range
- Adjustable daylight sensor
- 38 % below the previous price
Reasons against
- No details on bulb or IP rating
- Detection angle only 90°
Who should skip it
If you want a wall light that stays on all evening, a sensor light is the wrong choice. Anyone who needs details on bulb type, lumens or IP rating will find none in the manufacturer's information and should ask before ordering.
