What it actually does
The Hammersmith MultiTool by Mediashop is a 58-piece set in a hard-shell case. According to the manufacturer, attachments click onto a shared motor unit: a drill and screwdriver head with 19 torque settings and two speeds, plus an oscillating head for cutting, sanding and scraping. The 18V lithium-ion battery with charge indicator is said to recharge fully in 45 minutes in the supplied quick charger. Also included are a 6-piece drill bit set for metal and wood, a 32-piece screwdriver bit set, a flexible bit holder, a 9-piece sanding sheet set in P60, P120 and P240, two scrapers and a sanding head. Suitable, per the manufacturer, for wood, plastic and metal.
Reasons for
- One battery for all attachments
- Battery charged in 45 minutes
- Hard-shell case included
Reasons against
- No reference price or discount
- Only one battery supplied
Who should skip it
If you already own a cordless drill and a multitool, there is little to gain. Professionals or heavy users get no figures on power or battery capacity, which they should know before buying. Anyone who only hangs a shelf now and then does not need a 58-piece set.
