What it actually does
The Wheelyoo X9 is a folding electric scooter with a 36V/400W front motor and a 37V 15 Ah battery. According to the manufacturer, top speed is 25 km/h, range is 40 to 45 km depending on use, and charging takes around 8 hours. It weighs 15.5 kg and carries up to 120 kg. Equipment includes an LCD display, LED front light, rear light with brake light, rear disc brake, two rear suspension units and a USB port for charging a phone. The minirobot app handles remote locking with an alarm, lights, comfort or sport mode and cruise control.
Reasons for
- App lock with anti-theft alarm
- Brake light and rear disc brake
- Folds, carries up to 120 kg
Reasons against
- Weighs 15.5 kg, not lightweight
- Wheel size inconsistent in listing
- Charging takes around 8 hours
Who should skip it
If you need a scooter that is light to carry, note the 15.5 kg. The wheel size is inconsistent in the listing: the title says 8.5 inches, the description 10 inches. Nothing is stated about road approval in Switzerland, so clarify that before buying.
