What it actually does
The REV night light is a small white LED lamp with an automatic dusk sensor. According to the manufacturer it switches on once ambient light drops below 10 lux and then gives off a dim warm-white glow for orientation, for example on a night-time trip to the toilet. The housing is made of polycarbonate (PC) and measures 4 cm in length, 7 cm in width and 11 cm in height. How the night light is powered is not stated in the available data. It sells for CHF 12.95 at Die moderne Hausfrau CH, a Swiss shop.
Reasons for
- Switches on automatically at 10 lux
- Dim warm-white orientation light
- Compact, small footprint
Reasons against
- Power source not stated
- Only 2 ratings
- No motion sensor
Who should skip it
If you prefer complete darkness in the bedroom at night, an extra light will likely feel annoying. If you want a lamp that only comes on when someone moves, look elsewhere: the dusk sensor reacts to brightness, not to people.
