What it actually does
The Numotion by Sigor is a retro-style LED table lamp with a battery. The shade is real glass and the frame aluminium, per the manufacturer; the colour is graphite grey with clear glass. With an IP54 rating it is intended for outdoor use too, on terraces, balconies or restaurant tables. It dims steplessly and offers two light colours: warm white 2,700 K when switched on, 2,200 K on the second press. Holding the touch switch changes brightness. Stated runtime is about 12 hours at 100% output, charging about 5-7 hours via the magnetic plug with power adapter.
Reasons for
- Glass shade, aluminium frame
- IP54 for outdoor use
- Two light colours: 2,700 and 2,200 K
- Stepless dimming
Reasons against
- CHF 156.90 is not cheap
- Glass shade is fragile in transport
Who should skip it
If you often take a lamp camping, a glass shade is a poor choice. If one warm white setting is enough and you can live without dimming, cheaper rechargeable lamps exist. And if it never goes outside, you are paying for IP54.
