What it actually does
The Lahja is an LED ceiling light for outdoor use that can also be mounted on a wall. According to the manufacturer, the plastic housing is seawater-resistant, impact-rated IK06 and protected against water and dirt to IP65. A motion detector switches the light on when people approach; range 12 metres or 6 metres, detection angle 30° or 150°, and the on-time can be set to 5 seconds, 90 seconds, 5 minutes or 15 minutes. Maximum mounting height is 6 metres, and through-wiring is possible.
Reasons for
- IP65 rated, seawater-resistant per manufacturer
- Motion sensor with adjustable on-time
- Ceiling or wall mounting
Reasons against
- Housing is plastic, not metal
- Shipping adds CHF 8.99
Who should skip it
If you need a light for indoors or specifically do not want sensor-controlled lighting, the Lahja is not for you. Without a mains connection at the mounting point, a solar light is the simpler option than this hard-wired lamp.
